Integrate Simbel with your HRIS KiwiHR
Introduction
Simbel can be integrated with your Kiwi HRIS to automatically update the employee database daily in Simbel. These automatic updates include creating accounts for new employees, deactivating accounts for departures, and updating data based on internal mobility events.
Activating synchronization between Kiwi & Simbel
To activate this synchronization, you need to provide the Simbel team with 2 things:
- API key from KiwiGo to settings in the top left, then select APIClick on New Access KeyName the key e.g., "Simbel" to clearly identify it as the one you're sharing with us
- Kiwi subdomain, which is the URL you use to connect to your Kiwi account (e.g. https://simbel.kiwihr.it/)
The Simbel team will get back to you to finalize the setup (testing in pre-production and then activation)
What Data are retrieved from Kiwi by Simbel ?
You'll find below the standard data Simbel retrieve from Kiwi for all active users in Kiwi :
- Kiwi unique ID
- First name
- Last name
- Employee ID
- Date of birth
- Language
- Manager email
- Job
- Team
- Country
- Contract start date
- Contract end date
- Business unit
- Contract type
- Gender
What if the Data you want in Simbel are not included in the above standard list ?
Data such as legal entity or socio-professional categories are not part of the standard Kiwi fields.
If you want non standard data to be collected by Simbel, you need to create a specific field in Kiwi and share the name of the field with Simbel so that we can retrieve the data of this field.
Are users automatically deactivated in Simbel when they leave the organization ?
Simbel retrieves the "contract end date" data in Kiwi when this data is input in Kiwi prior to the departure of the users. Simbel then leverage this date to automatically deactivate the user the day after his departure.
If the contract end date is input in Kiwi after the departure date of the user, il will not be retrieved by Simbel and the user will need to be updated manually (Simbel only retrieves data for active Kiwi users).
What if you want to add only some of your employees in Kiwi to Simbel ?
You can tell us which contract types you want to exclude from the synchronization between Simbel and Kiwi (e.g. exclude all contract type = internship)
Alternatively you can also :
- synchronize everyone
- indicate in Simbel, once users are created, that you no longer want some of them to be synchronized
- then deactivate them in Simbel (from Users > Click on a user profile)
Does Simbel retrieve data on user availabilities / time off ?
